DeleteSomewhere, at some time, I listened to you speak from the book of Matthew. You made a beautiful connection between old and new, describing how the structure of Matthew reflected the structure of the exodus story and how understanding the old testament breathed depth into understanding what Jesus was sharing. I took many notes! We are soon to begin a study of Matthew and I was hoping to share a link to your talk but I can't find your presentation. Might you happen to know which one I listened too?
ReplyDeleteI believe it would be the sermon for Terwillegar Community Church listed above. So glad you found it helpful!
DeleteHello and thank you so very much for following the leading of the Holy Sprit in the work you do because I have been so incredibly blessed by your teachings! What brings me here is looking for more info on a YouTube short you made titled, Jesus Did NOT Abolish the Old Testament Law. (I didn't know how else to contact you to ask this!) You expressed the disciples recognized that the non-Jewish believes did not have to be circumcised or eat kosher. My question to you is, why did they conclude this? How do non-Jewish followers of Christ, who seek to walk in obedience in love for God, know which laws would not be required for them that might be required of the Jews? If you have any videos or articles or anything that expounds on this I would so greatly appreciate being directed to that source! My family (myself, my husband, my 20 yr old sister, 18 yr old son, 18 yr old daughter and 16 yr old son) have all been trying to flesh out these details. We spend a lot of time together discussing things like this and they are all avid researchers and deep thinkers. So anything you might have to help set us in the right direction would be so wonderful! Thank you for taking time out of your very busy schedule to read this. I apologize that it's quite long! God bless you Carmen!
